About the Role
As a System Analyst working within Innovation, Partnership and Design stream, you will be responsible for the elicitation, refinement and maintenance of a technical backlog of work for the Rewards engineering team which is focused on assisting our customers with their Financial Wellbeing.
As part of this role, you will be the bridge between the business and engineering teams, You will learn and understand how to resolve complex technical and business requirements and translate them for different stakeholders and audiences.
ANZ Plus is a fast-paced software engineering setting, and this role will require you to move at pace with product owners, engineers, architects, and testers to collaborate and drive capabilities across different areas of the business.
What will your day look like?
- Collaborate and shape our technology in a squad to design, build, enhance, and run services that deliver unique value to our customers across their banking products.
- Create well-engineered solutions, ensuring high-quality end-to-end feature delivery. Owing the full lifecycle of services as part of the team.
- Drive technical excellence by implementing best practices throughout the
development process and improving standards - Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, fostering mentorship
and knowledge sharing within the team. - Collaborate closely with teammates on automated testing, deployments, and
monitoring to ensure smooth releases and optimal system performance. - Focus on solving problems with your squad mates, utilising asynchronous communication through tools like Slack and GitHub, supplemented with face-to-face interactions.

- System Thinking: You understand how complex backend systems work together and can map out how changes impact the bigger picture.

- End-to-End Delivery: You’ve supported full project lifecycles—from requirements through to implementation—on complex system initiatives.
- Communication Skills: You can clearly explain technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences, and present ideas with confidence.
- Quick Learner: You pick up new information quickly and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.
- Strong Analytical Skills: You approach problems methodically, leveraging structured thinking, workflow modelling, and data to drive decisions.
