About the Role

 

As the Proposition and Strategy Lead – Migration in our Australian Retail Marketing team, you will be responsible for shaping and crafting tailored propositions that strategically target customers before and during their migration to ANZ Plus, ensuring a smooth and coherent journey as possible. 
 
You will leverage extensive marketing experience, insights, and data performance to develop, refine, and communicate compelling value propositions that resonate with our target audiences and drive business growth through reduced attrition and positive customer experiences. Your deep understanding of customer needs, marketing portfolio dynamics, and performance metrics will be essential in optimising the impact of our marketing activities across a large and dynamic organisation.
 
This is a newly created role, residing in the Australian Retail Marketing team, reporting to the Head of Marketing - Migration and SSA. You will also work closely with the Head of Marketing - Plus, the Migration Customer Readiness team, Finance and other senior stakeholders.
 
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer experience and consumer insights skills, allowing them to identify opportunities for enhancing customer satisfaction. Strong stakeholder management, communication and storytelling skills are essential to articulate compelling customer centric propositions that resonate with target audiences. Additionally, a deep understanding of value proposition and customer journey frameworks will ensure our migration strategies effectively meet customer needs.

What will your day look like?

 

As the Proposition and Strategy Lead – Migration, you will:

 

•Be accountable for developing and executing compelling propositions that align with market needs and market segments, by leveraging a mix of customer insights, market research, and data performance
•Bring large cross functional teams together engaging across product, distribution, operations and marketing services to create cohesive strategies, ensuring all touch points are aligned
•Serve as the lead strategist in cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders in marketing, migration, product development, sales, and customer experience to ensure cohesive strategies and messaging
•Priority segment CX optimisation, leveraging customer journey and customer life cycle mapping from the Journey, Data and Service Design functions including a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points
•Work closely with the marketing and channel teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns, messaging, and positioning across all non-service channels and customer touchpoints
•Analyse and define target markets by deep diving into customer demographics, behaviours, psychographics, and geographic locations
•Work with research agencies, insights teams, and other specialists to gather deep market intelligence, customer behaviour data, and competitive analysis 
•Translate insights from agency reports and research data into tangible, actionable strategies 
•Own the development of comprehensive go-to-market strategies for propositions, working across marketing ensuring cross-functional alignment, stakeholder engagement, and effective rollouts
•Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging new ideas, fresh thinking, and novel approaches to proposition development
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including senior leadership, product teams, and external partners 
•Present strategic plans, market insights, and performance results to executive leadership

 

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

•Extensive experience in senior marketing or strategy roles, with proven expertise in developing and executing propositions for large, complex organisations
•A strong understanding of customer experience, particularly through technology and/or brand transformations and migrations
•Proficiency in using data and analytics to drive performance optimisation
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex strategies and performance reports to senior executives and key stakeholders
•Excellent understanding of marketing segmentation, profiling and persona development and have a deep understanding of customer motivations and behaviours
•Strong ability to build business cases and present data intuitively and communicate recommendations clearly with diverse stakeholders
•In-depth knowledge of market research methodologies, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, and proposition testing
•Ability to lead and inspire teams, ensuring alignment on key objectives and delivering exceptional outcomes
•Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and persuade across organizational levels
•Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement them effectively
•Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
•Proficient in all Microsoft Product, specifically PowerPoint and Excel. Experience in other project management tools and methodologies such as Jira and Confluence
