About the Role

As a Strategy Manager, you will assist in developing and executing strategic initiatives and key areas of focus for the end-to-end Home Loans business by:

•    Undertaking research and analysis to develop and enhance ANZ’s Home Loan product strategy
•    Conducting data analysis to understand customer segmentation areas of opportunities
•    Identifying enhancements to existing strategic processes and disciplines 
•    Contributing to and co-author strategy documents including Retail Transformation Council documents, Board Papers, Performance Reporting, Working Group papers
•    Keeping abreast of market trends and innovations, both domestically and globally
•    Understanding the banking and competitive and regulatory landscape, and identify ways ANZ can differentiate itself in market

What will your day look like?

This role is also accountable for:

•    Helping to define and maintain the multi-horizon strategy, with consideration for the transition to ANZ Plus and migration of Suncorp Bank
•    Working with the broader Home Loans and Transformation teams to align on pathways forward 
•    Working with various end-to-end stakeholders, including Ops, Risk, Customer Engagement, distribution channels, and Finance to evolve our strategies
•    Involvement in strategic reviews of new business opportunities and risks
 

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

•    Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management and influencing skills, supported with a data-driven and analytical mindset
•    Experience presenting ideas and analysis to senior stakeholders
•    Ability to ‘self-start’ and work independently where required
•    Ability to work in ambiguity and juggle between immediate short-term deliverables and longer-term, strategic initiatives 
•    A deep knowledge of Home Loans and Retail banking (e.g. systems and processes, value chain dependencies, an understanding of ROE, drivers of performance, competitive landscape, regulatory landscape)
