About the Role
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for stakeholder influence and manage to ensure end-to-end delivery of Non-Financial Risk remediation and responses relating to various second line review and challenge activities. This includes providing project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives and remediation items to be implemented, coordinating and facilitating formal responses to regulator requests within time, scope and to an extremely high quality. This role will provide regular status reporting to the CRO Australia and key stakeholders.
You will have strong capability in coordinating resources and interdependencies across multiple streams of work. The Senior Project Manager will provide structure and leadership to a broad, multi-disciplinary project team comprised of internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors. Non Financial Risk experience in large, complex, dynamic environments is essential. To be successful in this role, you’ll be a confident communicator with exceptional negotiation and influencing skills.

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for:
- Leading and motivating cross-functional teams and interaction with all levels
- Assigning and monitoring work of technical SMEs, ensuring that project milestones are in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget
- Creating an environment of openness, trust and collaboration
- Ensuring that the various elements of the project are properly co-ordinated. Includes project plan development, project plan execution and integrated change control.
- Ensuring all reporting is accurate, transparent, insightful and of the highest quality
- Regularly updating critical stakeholders with high quality status updates and highlighting any issues/items for escalation
- Ability to anticipate and drive both cultural and behavioural change alongside technical transformation
- Strong understanding of the Non-Financial Risk framework, operating model and its application within the financial services industry
- Ability to build relationships quickly with senior NFR leaders and stakeholders, particularly in the second line of risk management at ANZ and with first line counterparts
- Familiarity with agile methodologies to enhance the flexibility and responsiveness of the NFR initiatives and response

- Ability to independently manage the operational aspects of ongoing tasks and serves as liaison between project teams and senior stakeholders
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
- Identifying, analysing and responding to project risks and issues.
- An eye for detail and acute problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
- Proactive and a self-starter.
