About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to play a key role in delivering one of ANZ’s most significant regulatory and customer outcome initiatives. Working within the Complaints Uplift Program, you’ll lead the delivery of strategic projects designed to strengthen ANZ’s complaints management capability, support compliance with ASIC Regulatory Guide 271, and improve outcomes for our customers.

Role Location: Melbourne or Brisbane

What will your day look like?
As a Project Manager, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects within the Complaints Uplift Program, ensuring objectives, timelines and outcomes are achieved.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into practical delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
- Drive initiatives that strengthen complaints handling capabilities and support non-financial risk uplift across the organisation.
- Ensure projects align with ANZ’s delivery frameworks, risk management standards and regulatory obligations.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders across Retail, Commercial and Private Banking, as well as technology and risk teams.
- Manage project governance, risks, dependencies and reporting to maintain delivery momentum.
- Prepare high-quality updates and presentations for executives, governance forums and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to positive customer outcomes through the successful implementation of regulatory and business change initiatives
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects or transformation initiatives within financial services.
- Strong understanding of non-financial risk, risk management frameworks and regulatory change environments.
- Excellent project delivery capabilities, including planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity.
- Experience working with senior executives and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce executive-level papers and reporting.
- A collaborative approach and passion for driving meaningful organisational change.
While not essential, the following would be highly regarded:
- Experience delivering regulatory remediation or complaints-related programs.
- Knowledge of ASIC regulatory requirements, particularly RG271.
- Exposure to enterprise-wide change, operational risk or customer remediation programs.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a focus on delivering better customer and business outcomes.
