About the Role
At ANZ, our ability to manage Technology, Data and Information Security risk effectively is critical to protecting our customers, operations and reputation. As Senior Manager, Technology, Data & Information Security COE in Group Operations, you will lead a specialist Centre of Excellence responsible for strengthening risk management, control design and regulatory compliance across these critical risk domains.
Acting as a trusted first-line risk partner, you'll provide expert advice on risk assessments, regulatory change, control effectiveness and governance, helping the business embed sustainable risk management practices into processes, systems and data. Working across end-to-end value chains, you'll deliver meaningful risk insights that influence strategic decision-making, strengthen accountability and support the proactive management of risk.
This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll partner with senior business leaders, risk teams and Centres of Excellence to drive better risk outcomes, improve control environments and build a strong risk culture across the organisation.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Manager, Technology, Data & Information Security COE in Group Operations, you will:
- Lead risk assessments and provide expert guidance on Technology, Data and Information Security risks, helping the business identify, assess and manage emerging and existing risk exposures.
- Partner with business leaders to strengthen risk and control frameworks, embed effective controls into business processes, systems and data, and support the remediation of control gaps.
- Oversee regulatory and policy change impacts, coordinating assessments and supporting effective implementation of risk and compliance requirements across the business.
- Deliver meaningful risk insights, reporting and analysis that support governance forums, inform decision-making and enhance visibility of control effectiveness and risk performance.
- Leverage data, analytics and automation to identify risk indicators, monitor trends, improve reporting capabilities and support more proactive risk management outcomes.
- Lead and develop a team of risk specialists, fostering a high-performance culture while building organisational capability and strengthening first-line accountability for risk management.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Significant experience managing s within a complex, highly regulated environment, ideally within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of risk and control frameworks, regulatory obligations, governance practices and assurance principles, with demonstrated experience assessing control effectiveness and managing risk outcomes.
- Proven control design expertise in managing Technology, Data and/or Information Security risks
- Proven experience supporting regulatory and policy change initiatives, including impact assessments, implementation planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to interpret complex risk information, identify emerging themes and deliver practical, business-focused recommendations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, provide constructive challenge and drive accountability across senior business and risk leaders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including developing specialist teams, uplifting risk capability and fostering a strong risk-aware culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, law, risk or a related discipline will be highly regarded. Professional certifications in risk management, compliance, information security, technology risk, data governance or analytics, together with a commitment to continuous professional development, will be viewed favourably.
