About the Role
As Senior Manager, Process & Controls Monitoring in Group Operations, you will play a critical role in strengthening our control environment by leading data-driven control monitoring and assurance activities across the business.
You'll drive the evolution of our approach to control environment oversight by improving the quality of process and control assessment insights, expanding monitoring coverage, and leveraging analytics, automation and emerging technologies to deliver deeper, actionable insights. Working closely with business leaders, risk specialists and control owners, you'll identify opportunities to strengthen control environments, manage risk more effectively and embed sustainable improvements.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Manager, Process & Controls Monitoring in Group Operations, you will:
- Lead independent, data-led assessments of business processes and controls to evaluate design effectiveness, operational performance and compliance with risk and regulatory requirements.
- Use data, analytics and automation to identify trends, emerging risks, control environment weaknesses and opportunities to enhance business outcome delivery
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights, influencing stakeholders to prioritise rectification and activities and implement sustainable process and control environment improvements.
- Partner with business leaders, control owners, risk specialists and assurance teams to strengthen risk capability, improve control effectiveness by business owners and foster a strong risk culture.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, governance practices, reporting and assurance frameworks to increase efficiency, consistency and scalability.
- Manage a portfolio of controls monitoring activities while coaching team members, maintaining quality standards and ensuring delivery against agreed objectives and timeframes.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience in control testing, assurance, audit, compliance or non-financial risk management within a complex and highly regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of control design and operating effectiveness assessment, non-financial risk frameworks, governance requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Advanced analytical capability, including experience using data analytics, reporting tools, automation or AI-enabled solutions to improve insights generation focussed on business outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into practical recommendations and influence senior leaders.
- Proven ability to identify root causes, evaluate risk impacts, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- A continuous improvement mindset and demonstrable experience in driving improved customer and business outcomes, specifically through process optimisation, strengthening control environments and embedding sustainable risk management practices.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, risk, finance, technology, data or a related discipline will be highly regarded, along with relevant professional certifications in risk management, internal audit, compliance or assurance.
