About the Role

 

This role will be a leader in the Enterprise Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Governance function and work with Senior Leaders and Stakeholders across the Business, Line 1 and Line 2, to ensure they meet the requirements of ANZs NFR Framework in effectively manage Non-Financial Risk within risk appetite.

 

This role will foster strong working relationships with Senior Leaders, Stakeholders and Internal Audit partners, providing Subject Manager advice/guidance and insight on Non-Financial Risk Governance.

 

The Enterprise NFR Governance function provides effective oversight and governance activities of enterprise-wide Non-Financial Risk management to the Group Manager Operational Risk, OREC and Board Risk Committee, including provide value-add insights and opinions on how well ANZ is effectively managing Non-Financial Risk within risk appetite and required uplift.

What will your day look like?

 

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key business unit stakeholders to drive proactive, consistent and co-ordinated approach to management, oversight & governance of Non-Financial Risk.
  • Responsible for ensuring that key internal and external stakeholders are aware, understand and effectively meet ANZ’s NFR framework.
  • Identifying insights to highlight emerging NFR issues and trends to drive continuous improvement in NFR governance (including standards, processes, guidance, tooling, awareness & understanding).
  • Responsible for NFR Risk Appetite Statement (NFR RAS) reporting, including leading engagement with data providers and reporting to risk committees.
  • Foster collaborative relationships
  • Foster the development and embedment of risk culture across ANZ
  • Ensure alignment and adherence to ANZ policies, processes and regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure ANZ's core values are always maintained in dealing with staff, colleagues and customers.

What will you bring?

 

  • Tertiary qualified with relevant years’ experience (+6 years) in Operational Risk & Compliance Management and Framework application or related disciplines  
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional/risk based manner
  • Demonstrates leadership attributes, including: Curiosity,

  • Growing People Selflessly.
  • Ability to build and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence/negotiate change
