About the Role
To ensure that ANZ operates within Data Risk boundaries by adherence to established frameworks, policies & standards and is managing its data risk effectively.
This involves monitoring, evaluating, and guiding the overall data risk related activities with ANZ to promote accountability, transparency, compliance & alignment with both strategic and regulatory requirements.

What will your day look like?
- Overseeing enterprise-wide adherence to the Data Risk Framework and associated policies
- Identifying thematic issues and insights associated with Data Management, Privacy and Records Risks.
- Overseeing compliance with obligations/ policy requirements and identification of opportunities for control simplification
- Central observability for active monitoring of policy violations.
- Ongoing compliance monitoring of adherence to data policies, and associated standards.
- Assess whether the level of risk exposure across divisions is within risk appetite
- Ensure that cross-business risk exposure and remediation are well understood
- Provide guidance on identification, assessment and mitigation (or acceptance) of curr and emerging data risks to Div. Risk Officers
- Monitor and oversight the data quality issues management process
- Monitor, review and challenge the progress of divisions and functions in delivering their associated data roadmaps
What will you bring?
Ideally you will have knowledge, skills and experiences:
- Strong understanding of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) frameworks and Three Lines of Defence model.
- Expertise in data governance, risk appetite setting, and oversight mechanisms.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable governance practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior leadership levels.
- Analytical mindset with experience in risk metrics, dashboards, and assurance reviews.
