About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Ops Excellence, you will embed operational excellence as a strategic capability across Retail Operations. The role drives Retail Operations-wide productivity, risk-managed execution, and continuous improvement across BAU and transformation, while enabling the successful delivery of large-scale Retail Operations change initiatives. 

You will ensure that Retail Operations can run at scale, reliably, efficiently, and compliantly—while continuously improving.

What will your day look like?

• Set and lead the Retail Operations Operational Excellence strategy aligned to enterprise priorities and risk appetite.  
• Lead large-scale operational and process transformation initiatives across Retail Operations 
• Embed consistent OE disciplines across BAU and change, ensuring sustainable benefits realisation 
• Own and drive measurable outcomes in productivity, service performance, cost, quality, speed, capacity, and customer experience. 
• Provide executive-level insights on operational health, risks, and improvement opportunities 
• Lead and develop OE leaders and practitioners, uplift OE capability across Retail Operations 
• Ensure robust governance across business continuity, supplier management, data access, and operational resilience 
• Translate business priorities into end-to-end process improvement roadmaps  
• Lead value stream mapping, waste elimination, root cause analysis, and standardisation of work processes.  
• Establish governance for continuous improvement pipelines and benefit tracking  
• Coach leaders and teams on problem-solving and continuous improvement thinking 
• Drive adoption and sustainability of digital solutions across operations 

What will you bring?

• 10–15+ years of experience in banking operations, operational excellence, or transformation roles    
• Proven delivery of large, complex, cross-functional change in Retail or Operations environments.  
• Experience with process reengineering, automation, and digital transformation 
• Strong commercial, risk, and governance judgement with executive-level decision making accountability.  
• Leadership of leaders with experience building capability and succession.  
• Advanced stakeholder engagement at Group Executive and N-2 level.
