About the Role
This role plays a critical part in evolving and embedding ANZ’s culture by translating our values and culture ambition into consistent, everyday behaviours across the organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Culture and Leadership COE, the role leads the design and delivery of the Culture Embedment stream, driving the integration of values and expected behaviours into leadership routines, decision-making forums, people processes, risk practices and other enterprise mechanisms.
Role type: Permanent, full time
Role location: Melbourne location ideal but open to other Australian ANZ locations
What will your day look like?
As Senior Manager, Culture & Leader Experience, you are accountable for:
Culture Design, Execution and Embedment
- Lead the end-to-end Culture Embedment stream, aligning to ANZ’s culture, values and behaviours
- Design and deliver enterprise-wide initiatives that build awareness, belief and behaviour change
- Translate strategy into practical, scalable, measurable interventions
- Provide SME advice and challenge to senior stakeholders on how culture, values and behaviours are translated into business practices and leadership routines.
Embedding Culture into the Employee Lifecycle and broader business architecture
- Drive integration of values into core people processes, including performance, recruitment, onboarding and learning
- Develop and implement tools, frameworks and guidance that define and reinforce expected values-aligned behaviours and cultural standards across ANZ
- Support the integration of our culture through our values into broader enterprise policies and frameworks, risk architecture, scorecards etc.
Enterprise Engagement and Behaviour Change
- Deliver enterprise-wide campaigns and experiences to reinforce values and behaviours
- Continuously and practically adapt solutions based on data, learnings and critical audience needs
- Partner with Communications and Change to deliver an integrated narrative and embedment plan
- Leverage mechanisms such as culture champions and broader change management vehicles to scale impact.
Delivery Leadership in a Complex Environment
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex and evolving environment
- Lead end to end planning and sequencing of the Culture Embedment stream and the culture embedment roadmap and plan
- Prioritise and sequence work based on capacity, enterprise need, change load, stakeholder readiness and expected impact
- Manage day-to-day delivery across multiple initiatives
- Identify and manage risks and interdependencies with broader teams across T&C and the Enterprise
- Assure that interventions meet quality standards, are tested and land as intended.
- Lead, coach and enable others to deliver high-quality culture outcomes in a complex, fast-moving environment.
Insights and Continuous Improvement
- Define success measures and use data, feedback and behavioural insights to assess adoption, impact and areas for refinement
- Use data and feedback to improve culture embedding approaches
What will you bring?
Critical knowledge, skills and experience required for this role:
- Experience in organisational culture, organisational development or behaviour change (design through to scaled execution)
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale transformation initiatives
- Experience embedding culture into business processes
- Experience program managing and leading teams in a complex environment
- Experience consulting and developing culture initiatives with senior stakeholders
Desirable, but not mandatory knowledge, skills and experience required for this role:
- Demonstrated understanding of good non-financial risk (NFR) practices
- Demonstrated understanding of Risk Culture
- Experience financial services or similarly regulated environments
- Degree or Masters in Psychology or Organisational Psychology
- Behaviour change qualifications
- Organisational design qualifications
- Change management qualifications
