About the Role

As a [Role] in our [Tribe/Team/Domain/Business Unit], you’ll play a key role in helping to [state the key goal of the tribe/team/domain (why do they exist?)]. This role is responsible for developing Business Operational Risk (that is NOT Technology or Markets focused) policies and measuring Business Operational Risk (that is NOT Technology or Markets focused) in order to protect ANZ from risk that is caused by inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems or from external events. Some of the roles that align to this role may have a component of their roles with a compliance element.

What will your day look like?

As a General Business Governance & Control Specialist (1st Line), you will:

• Strive to improve processes to promote 'risk is everyone's responsibility' in an efficient manner. 
• Provide expertise on Risk Assessment, Risk Acceptances and Treatments. 
• Create clear and concise working documents, addressing key risk areas with appropriately drawn conclusions 
• Manage the assurance team supporting the Coverage and Corporate Finance Business Units. 
• Engage relevant stakeholders in an enthusiastic and timely manner. 
• Lead by example and demonstrate the highest risk and compliance standards and attitudes. 

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Have strong analytical and structured thinking. 
• Project management experience. 
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Knowledge of assurance activities needed to support Institutional Operations 
• Well-developed influencing and negotiation skills. 
• Investigation experience.
