About the Role

 

 

As a Senior Data Analyst in Data portfolio supporting Home loans tribe, you’ll play a key role in helping to automate and uplift reporting in the preassessment phase of home loans application journey. This role is responsible for collecting, cleansing, optimizing & interrogating data to generate business intelligence and insights to support strategic decision making. Basic/Intermediate descriptive data analysis and visualisation, with the use of reporting tools (eg Qlikview, PowerBI).

What will your day look like?


The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the delivery of people analytics and reporting that provides strategic insights to guide the future talent and culture strategy. You will apply your strong data analysis, organisational and delivery skills to develop sustainable data solutions and strategies that are commercial, well managed and governed and support business goals. Your consultative and collaborative style will be essential as you partner across the Business to meet needs for data analytics and reporting. You will bring a focus on simplicity and employee experience to everything that you do. 


As a Senior Data Analyst, your key accountabilities will include: 

  • Implement business and IT data requirements through new data strategies and designs across all data platforms (relational, dimensional, and NoSQL) and data tools (reporting, visualization, analytics, and machine learning).
  • Work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop data models.
  • Define and govern data modelling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models.
  • Identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization.
  • Hands-on modelling, design, configuration, installation, performance tuning, and sandbox POC.

 

What will you bring?

 

 

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer/data science technical or related experience.
  • Experience in banking or financial services preferred but not required.
  • Ability to translate data insights into practical business recommendations.
  • Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-centre contexts required.
  • Knowledge of metadata management, data modelling, and related tools (Erwin or ER Studio or others) required.

 

Hands-on knowledge and experience with tools and techniques for analysis, data manipulation and presentation (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau, QlikSense, Power BI).
