About the Role
Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008 (Melbourne based preferred, but not essential)
Role Type: Permanent
Role Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
A critical component of our enterprise transformation is ‘Program PACT’ (People, Accountabilities, Customers and Trust), which has been established to deliver better customer, risk and business outcomes through sustainable improvements to ANZ’s non-financial risk management practices.
You will be joining the Learning Product Area within Talent and Culture, specifically, the Strategic Capability team. Our mission is to help people build the capabilities they need to deliver today, transform the bank, and be future ready. The Learning Product Area is responsible for execution of ANZ’s learning strategy, ownership and management of our enterprise learning platforms, event management, the development of a suite of people capabilities critical to our success, oversight of our learning standards, guidelines and upskill of our global learning community. Within Strategic Capability, we are also playing a critical role in delivering on the capability requirements as part of the PACT program.
What will your day look like?
As Senior Capability Consultant, you will be a key member of the Strategic Capability team. As part of the team, you will contribute to designing our approach to the capability needs outlined in the PACT program. You will engage with a variety of stakeholders across the program to understand learning requirements, design and build solutions, measure their impact, and transition solutions into a business-as-usual state.
An experienced professional, the successful candidate will play a key role in:
- Partnering and consulting across a complex stakeholder network to understand, support and deliver on capability and training needs.
- Driving quality, standards, and consistency in learning across the capability community.
- Contributing to the design, adoption, and sustainability of solutions delivered as part of PACT, including managing vendor engagements where required.
- Helping to shape and guide the development and delivery of evidence-based capability practice.
- Driving alignment, reducing duplication of effort, and simplifying learning at ANZ.

What will you bring?
While you don’t need to tick every box, to grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring some of the following:
- Experience in and credibility to work with stakeholders to shape and deliver capability initiatives for measurable impact.
- Strong consulting skills, including the ability to distill diverse insights into actionable, prioritised and commercial designs.
- Ability to design and build learning solutions across a blend of modalities, supporting their successful test, refinement and delivery
- Strength in building trusted and deep relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Strong project and product management skills and the ability to operationalise and run enterprise programs.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Demonstrated experience in Organisational Development (OD), Learning, Organisational Psychology, or other relevant professions in HR, Business or Human Behaviour.
- Experience in designing, building, executing and maintaining capability initiatives in large, complex organisations.
- Comfort working through ambiguity to solve complex problems.
- Ability to manage vendors deliver strategic initiatives.
