With evolving payments landscape, ANZ has continually grown our payments capability to compete in the market. As a Senior Business Analyst in Schemes Initiatives team, you’ll play a key role in helping to execute ANZ’s payment’s strategy and ensuring card payments interoperability which includes identifying, designing, delivering capabilities and monitoring payments schemes performance/obligations to deliver convenient, reliable and secure payments experience for our customers.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Business Analyst, you are accountable for:
- Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify payments opportunities and develop business case for stakeholders buy-in and approval.
- Collaborating with Product, Digital, ANZ’s card schemes partners and enabler functions to illicit functional and non-functional requirements. These may be mandates from card schemes or internal driven initiatives.
- Applying technical capability and data interrogation to synthesise information, problem solve and provide meaningful information to support business decisions.
- Proactive management of issues and risk and work with control owners to devise mitigation strategy.
- Responsible for change management activities throughout delivery lifecycle including (not limited to) Product Management Policies, Non-Financial Risk Assessments, Data Impact Assessments.
- Responsible the delivery of Non-Financial Risk Framework by demonstrating strong understanding of risk management framework
- Working across initiatives with the end-to-end delivery team to ensure quality and timeliness of pre-set outcome and priorities are actioned.
- Active participation in delivery stream cadence of scrum meeting, sprint planning and quarterly planning
- Working with internal stakeholders and payment schemes to monitor ANZ’s payments performance and compliance.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience in end-to-end payments and digital initiative delivery working with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to elaborate initiative’s value proposition and working with relevant teams (products, pricing, finance,etc.) to translate the desired outcome into benefits (financial and non financial) for our customers and ANZ
- Demonstrate Product Change Management framework experience operating across the product lifecycle, demonstrated skills and experience in business analysis and implementation, experience in complex projects.
- Working knowledge of payments, card products and fraud, and operational management
- Extensive business analysis experience and detailed knowledge of analysis tasks, elicitation techniques, documenting, presenting, and managing requirements with different stakeholders across business and program teams.
- Ability to explore customer needs in a data-driven way, develop and implement innovative solutions, test the outcomes, and iterate.
- An intense passion and curiosity for customers, their needs and wants, putting them at the centre of everything you do
