About the Role
Reporting to Director, Business Execution – AU & PNG, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Institutional Australia & PNG business ensuring it is well-managed, meeting objectives and aligned across Institutional division.
In this role you will work closely with the Institutional Australia leadership team and their direct reports, broader Strategy & Execution teams, leveraging data and insights to implement plans to improve performance of the Australia and PNG businesses. This will include developing strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment of key strategic objectives and sharing learnings to ensure Institutional business is performing against set objectives.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Associate, you will:
- Driving profitable growth and supporting returns-focused initiatives across the Institutional business.
- Partnering with Finance, Portfolio Management, and Business Execution teams to deliver performance insights and business improvements.
- Analysing customer, portfolio, and market data to identify opportunities and improving customer outcomes.
- Supporting the delivery of business initiatives, regulatory commitments, and customer experience improvements.
- Leading process improvement activities, driving efficiencies, and managing ad hoc business priorities.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships, supporting team development, and ensuring compliance with ANZ's risk and regulatory requirements.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Proven experience and understanding of the Institutional businesses.
- Microsoft office skills, with a strong emphasis on building, creating PowerPoint, advanced excel, co-pilot, teams and SharePoint navigation.
- Tertiary qualified with a strong understanding of the Institutional, ideally with more than 10 years' experience is highly desirable.
- Strong data and analytical skills
- Strong problem solving and collaboration skills – an ability to quickly identify strengths and weaknesses of a problem, engage appropriate SMEs and bring together effective and realistic recommendations that lead to meaningful improvement across the business.
- Ability to execute improvements, navigating different teams, businesses and overcoming roadblocks.
- Well organised, able to manage and prioritise a large and fast-moving workload, coordinating and delivering multiple simultaneous initiatives.
- Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills - spoken, written and in person. Proven experience in building and maintaining strong sponsor and key stakeholder relationships.
