About the Role

As a Senior Associate for Financial Crime Risk Oversight & Opinion Institutional you will support the Institutional business by way of providing risk opinions across customers, products, channels to manage identified Financial Crime & Fraud (FC&F) risk within appetite and provide FC&F for risk forums and committees and support other SME roles in the COE.

 

The role will provide financial crime and fraud risk opinions as they relate to high-risk customers, products, channels, and third-party risk matters to assist the business manage associated risks within appetite.

What will your day look like?

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Monitor FC&F risk profiles across the Institutional business, identifying emerging risks, trends, and control improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver risk insights, management information (MI), analysis, and reporting to support governance forums and informed decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders to strengthen risk management practices, ensuring identified issues are effectively addressed and embedded into policies, controls, and change initiatives.
  • Analyze non-financial risk data to assess risk exposure, monitor performance, and support proactive risk management across the division.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing risk culture by building strong relationships and enabling the achievement of business, compliance, and risk objectives.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Financial Crime knowledge is required and experience in Non-Financial Risk in Financial Services is highly regarded.
  • Strong results and customer focus.
  • Broad-based Compliance experience.
  • Establish collaborative working relationships and be able to build strong collaboration and networks internally.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Broad knowledge of laws, and other financial crime obligations locally and internationally is desirable.
