About the team and the tech

The ANZx Salesforce delivery model is one of the most mature and sophisticated in market, making use of all of the latest devops and developer tooling within the Salesforce ecosystem. We have an in-house built CICD pipeline that does delta packaging, apex unit test verification, LWC jest tests, code style enforcement, secure code scanning and even a Salesforce CLI extension that automates the documentation of our IAM and Schemas. We also use scratch orgs for development, with an engineer able to create a scratch org between 4-6 minutes and production releases minimum twice a month (once a fortnight). Our Salesforce engineering culture focuses on generalist engineering principals to make our solutions as scalable, reliable and performant as possible and it’s a great place to work to learn this level of engineering excellence

Your day as an Engineer in ANZx

In ANZx, Engineering is about delivering a seamless experience at scale through working with the rest of the business in an innovative, adaptive and agile way. This means you will get to: 

Solve for problems and issues that matter. You’ll work on providing solutions that make an impact to customers. You’ll have a laser focus on customers, using human-centred design to provide simple and impactful solutions.

Develop both breadth and depth. We want great engineers, and we will foster our people’s talent by giving opportunities to work on things that develop both your deep technical expertise, as well as your broad end-to-end understanding. At times you may be coding in a specific platform, and at other times you may work on enterprise-wide solutions across the business— either way, you get to work on missions that excites you.

Work Agile in multidisciplinary teams. You won’t be faced with traditional hierarchies. Instead, working Agile means you will be constantly testing, iterating, and making rapid decisions as you go. You will get to self-organise and work in squads consisting of developers, ops engineers, customer journey experts and product owners who come from different domains.

Own it. Most importantly, you’ll get to deliver end to end service, and shape how ANZ delivers on their commitment to providing great customer service through technology.

What will you bring?

We're hiring for now and in the future! This role will see you are some of the things we look for in our experienced engineers are -

• A deep understanding of sound code practices.

• Several years experience in core Salesforce CRM knowledge in regards to the functional capabilities and the way the platform is configured and customised to meet business requirements whilst maintaining best practise.

• Salesforce engineering experience with Apex and LWC.

• Salesforce DX knowledge and general engineering knowledge

• Be open to and incorporate feedback and constructive criticism with the knowledge that any feedback is in the best interest of the capabilities we build

• Ability to quickly absorb new knowledge and make fuzzy inferences about it

• Excellent problem-solving skills, you can find clear paths through ambiguity

• Culture contributor. You embrace continuous improvements and an open and transparent feedback loop
