About the Role

 

This is a pivotal role to support the development and optimisation of ANZ’s Retail and Commercial valuations strategy. In this role 
you will:

  • Own the ANZ Valuation Framework, including oversight of development and maintenance of the delivery system and ongoing reviews of valuer panel and service level agreements.
  • Assist with the development and deployment of valuation strategies.
  • Define and implement the Credit Requirements Change Framework together with simplification measures to ensure understanding and adherence to valuation Requirements.
  • Develop monitoring and ensure compliance with Valuation Framework across ANZ Australia.

What will your day look like?

 

  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key business and risk stakeholders to drive a proactive, consistent, and coordinated approach to the management of Valuation Policy frameworks and delivery mechanisms.
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of Valuation Ordering Frameworks, including associated procedures and tools, to support effective engagement models and consistent practices across ANZ Australia.
  • Provide reporting and tolerance‑based insights to support risk leadership and senior executives.
  • Lead the development and documentation of acquisition strategies, ensuring alignment with operational processes, business requirements, identified issues, and targeted enhancement proposals.
  • Ensure all acquisition strategies and front‑end models comply with ANZ Group governance requirements, policies, processes, standards, and applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage Non‑Financial Risk by maintaining clear visibility of risks and controls, ensuring COR events are accurate, current, and action‑oriented, and supporting audits while delivering on all audit‑related commitments.

What will you bring?

 

  • Proven ability to identify, assess and control non-financial risks. 
  • Strong credit risk knowledge and experience covering the “C’s” of credit. 
  • Strong analytical, numerical, research and problem-solving proven ability to turn data into information and information into 
    actionable business decision strategy. 
  • Strong ability to turn analytical insights into practical policies and strategies. 
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and senior peers. 
  • Strong ability with data analytics/science and/or decision systems techniques and tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, PowerCurve, 
    AbInitio, etc.). 
  • Ability to deliver changes in decision systems. 
  • At least 7 years’ experience in risk management, including credit risk management.
  • Ability to lead a team of high performing professionals.
