About the Role

Our Private Bank provides specialised Banking Services and Advice to High-Net-Worth (HNW) individuals and families, to help protect, grow and transition their wealth.

 

Due to the growth of our Private Banking business, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Relationship Lending Manager (Credit Risk), to help support our Home Loan business to meet the needs of our HNW & UHNW clients
 

This role is key to ensuring we have a robust Credit Risk approach to Credit Risk evaluation & decisioning. 
You will be working closely with Senior Private Bankers & Lending Specialists to support credit structuring, hence your ability to use your relationship communication skills, will be key  
 

This is an important role in helping to shape the growth of Private Banking’s Home Loan business.

Role Location: L44, 55 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3008
Work Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

What will your day look like?

Your accountabilities include, but will not be limited to:

  • Internal & external client meetings, deal structuring workshops
  • Support Frontline Bankers & Lending Specialists to ensure quality credit memos to minimise credit re-work
  • Actively manage workflow, timely evaluation of decision-making of credit requests 
  • Quality credit memos, referencing Credit Policy & Compliance / Regulatory requirements
  • Consider reputational risks, ensuring credit facilities are within risk appetite
  • Drive a Risk Management & team culture that delivers strong credit hindsighting, audit results & client NPS    
  • Support Private Bank training & capability uplift 

What will you bring?

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have the following experience, knowledge, and skills:

  • Strong experience in Credit Risk evaluation & Credit decisioning
  • You will likely already hold a senior Credit Authority Delegation 
  • Sound analytical capabilities, financial / industry analysis
  • Exceptional communication, organizational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to proactively problem solve
