About the Role

 

 

As a Regulatory Engagement Lead of the Enterprise Non-Financial Risk Program, you’ll play a key role in: 

  • Managing the engagement with the Independent Reviewer and Regulator, and act as the key engagement contact, providing monitoring, support to facilitate the effective engagement with the organisation;
  • Ensuring the Closure Pack templates, end to end process and pipeline, is managed in a controlled, consistent & predictable manner that supports the delivery of sustained value to deliver the closure requirements and evidence the change to support the delivery of the Root Cause Remediation Plan for the Enforceable Undertaking; and
  • Supporting the Quarterly Reporting to the ANZ Board and APRA, by the Independent Reviewer, is delivered efficiently and effectively, including the delivery of strategic insights, action plans and information sharing across the Group.

What will your day look like?

 

  • Support the Head of Regulatory Engagement develop and articulate the strategic vision and roadmaps for regulatory engagement, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, risk appetite, and regulatory expectations. Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of frameworks, policies, and governance structures to embed regulatory commitments effectively for the Enforceable Undertaking.
  • Support the Head of Regulatory Engagement to actively engage with Regulators, Independent Reviewer, as well as Design Owners and Functional Owners & Leads to optimise understanding of asks, outputs (i.e. key artefacts), & expectations that satisfy the requirements of an Enforceable Undertaking or similar endeavour
  • Support the Head of Regulatory Engagement develop and deploy operational models, tools, templates and processes that facilitate the consistent and sustainable embedment of regulatory obligations. Act as the strategic owner for embedding these frameworks, ensuring they are integrated into business operations, oversight mechanisms, and decision-making processes.
  • Actively manage the Closure Pack approach, including template, process, inclusive of a governance process overview, accountabilities and sustainability definitions and expectations, including frameworks, reviews and support
  • Analyse and report on regulatory engagement activities, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to governance standards. Establish and maintain effective governance pathways, escalation procedures, and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress, identify risks, and enable timely intervention.
  • Actively perform reporting mechanisms to track & report the completion of Root Cause Remediation Plan outputs / deliverables enroute to facilitating the closure process required to achieve an assesses position of ‘Closed and Effective’
  • Facilitate, track and report the timely completion and submission of Closure packs, including evidence requirements, for independent reviewer assessment to achieve a ‘Closed and Effective’ position.
  • Actively monitor the cadence of items (including quality and delivery) to be or undergoing assessment by the Independent Reviewer for throughput efficiency

What will you bring?

 

  • Strong business strategic and analysis skills / process management / regulatory based experience with accompanying accreditation / qualifications i.e 10+ years within large organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience in:
    • Regulatory matters
    • Establishing and optimising key relationships
    • Timely and quality application / management of structured processes, controls and reporting
    • Driving outcomes to time and quality
    • Document and traceability Management
    • Influencing others
