About the Role
As the Program / Project Manager, you’ll play a key role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the program / project ensuring the output delivers to set objectives and agreed KPIs to ensures the effective alignment, integration and governance of a program. The role maintains responsibility for leadership, conduct and performance and building a team that can achieve the defined objectives and value.

What will your day look like?
As a Program Lead, you are accountable for:
- Responsible for the end to end management / delivery of a program / project.
- Instil a vision for the program / project and build a culture that realises this vision, through a focus on ownership, delivery, collaboration, value optimisation and customer / stakeholder satisfaction.
- Deliver the program / project, to agreed scope, objectives and associated KPIs and controls (i.e. to time, cost, quality, satisfaction and compliance as well as with active risk, issue, dependency and change control management) to maximise business acceptance and their realisation of benefits.
- Establish and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with all key stakeholders to optimise delivery success.
- Optimise change readiness+ ensure all teams are aligned and implementation ready.
- Provide program / project team leadership, people management and capability development to optimise success.
- Support the Sponsor to inform the Steering Committee of Program / Project progress, key risks, dependencies, change impacts, escalate issues, financial performance, etc. as well as seek approval to changes and obtain feedback to inform decisions to key program / project matters.
- Ensure adherence to and support the active application of the organisations Project Management Framework inclusive of governance, methods, templates, tools and quality assurance.
- Accurately track and report performance and benefits (where appropriate).
- Assure initiative quality
- Actively communicate with key stakeholders groups to inform them of what the change is about, why it is important, delivery expectations, progress performance, key challenges, change readiness, etc.
- Ensure program / project outputs and outcomes are effectively communicated and considered to effectively optimize the pursuit of its intended benefits and add value
- Actively manage contracts / agreements in conjunction with procurement guidelines and policies.
- Enhance Program / Project Management capabilities by actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that uplift skills and foster the sharing of knowledge and experience
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Demonstrable program / project management skills, with accompanying accreditation / qualification or commensurate experience i.e 5-10 years in program and project management within large / complex organisations.
- Extensive understanding and experience in initiative delivery and governance principles, methods processes and techniques
- Delivery of programs / projects to acceptable time, scope, budget & outcome expectations
- Strong results focus, with a continuous improvement skill set.
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Clarifying stakeholder needs and managing expectations to ensure the delivery of effective service
- Identifying and obtaining support or advice required for the planning, coordination and execution of work
- Reporting through agreed reporting lines on progress.
- Escalation of issues for resolution and decision making.
- Control of all project costs, resources, scope and change request processes.
- Contributing to the sharing of knowledge and information within own function and with internal clients.
- Ensuring procedures and documentation are maintained.
- Identifying means of working smarter and streamlining administration tasks.
- Anticipating change and proactively identifying opportunities.
