About the Role

 

As the Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of the People workstreams within the Enterprise Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Program. This includes key focus areas such as Culture, Performance and Remuneration, Capabilities, Accountability, and the NFR Organisational Structure.

 

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring these workstreams meet defined objectives, closure criteria, and evidence requirements as part of the Root Cause Remediation Plan under the APRA Court Enforceable Undertaking. Your leadership will be critical in aligning, integrating, and governing the People streams to drive meaningful and sustainable change.

What will your day look like?

 

As a Project Manager, you are accountable for:

  • End to end management / delivery of a program workstream in partnership with the accountable Executives (Design and Deliverable Owners), the Program Director, Business Leads and the central Program team.
  • Lead the delivery and coordination of packages into the business and the writing of closure memos, coaching the People Program team members to build this capability, and supporting the Design Owners with evidence to support engagement with the independent reviewer and regulator.
  • Support the Design Owners, Program Director and Business Leads to inform the Steering Committee of progress, key risks, dependencies, change impacts, escalate issues, financial performance, etc. as well as seek approval to changes and obtain feedback to inform decisions to key program matters.
  • Enable the delivery of the program, to agreed scope, objectives and associated KPIs and controls (i.e. to time, cost, quality, satisfaction and compliance as well as with active risk, issue, dependency and change control management) to maximise business acceptance and realisation of benefits.
  • Ensure adherence to and support the active application of the organisations Project Management Framework inclusive of governance, methods, templates, tools and quality assurance.
  • Enable a vision for the program and build a culture that realises this vision, through a focus on ownership, delivery, collaboration, value optimisation and customer / stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Enhance Program / Project Management capabilities by actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that uplift skills and foster the sharing of knowledge and experience.
  • Establish and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with all key stakeholders to optimise delivery success.
  • Work with the change and communications specialists to ensure program outputs and outcomes are effectively communicated and considered to effectively optimise the pursuit of its intended benefits and add value.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Relevant experience working on an enterprise program to deliver a remediation plan for a Court Enforceable Undertaking into operational risk management within a Financial Services environment.
  • Experience working across the domains of Talent & Culture and Group Risk to build the capabilities required for a non-financial risk transformation.
  • Demonstrable program management skills, with commensurate experience i.e. 10 years in program and project management within large / complex organisations.
  • Extensive understanding and experience in initiative delivery and governance principles, methods processes and techniques.
  • Delivery of programs / projects to acceptable time, scope, budget & outcome expectations specifically including developing closure memos and supporting evidence requirements in line with a court-enforceable undertaking in Financial Services.
  • Clarifying stakeholder needs and managing expectations to ensure the delivery of effective service.
