Product Owner, Cyber Security Risk Forecasting
Product Owner, Cyber Security Risk Forecasting
About Us
At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.
About the Role
Your role as a Product Owner, Risk Forecasting, is to enable and inspire a multi-disciplinary team ('Squad') to pursue its mission to operationalise an attack‑chain‑aligned risk posture, drive remediation of high‑to‑extreme vulnerabilities, and deliver board‑mandated and APRA‑regulated Cyber Security obligations, translating cyber risk insights into actionable, executive decision pathways.
The Product Owner guides the ‘squad’ on 'what' work should be completed and constantly prioritises tasks and the squad’s backlog with the customer (i.e. internal and external stakeholders) at the heart of their decision making. The Product Owner also ensures that the work is strategically aligned to the tribe mission and engages with other Product Owners to align and manage inter-dependencies. Whilst this role is not a people manager, it is a key leadership role, galvanising the squad around a vision and supporting them to successfully deliver stakeholder value at pace.
Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.

- Partner with security SMEs and analytics teams to ensure risk forecasting is grounded in credible threat/risk models and is fit for executive reporting and investment governance.
- Maintain a focus on material risk reduction outcomes and coordinate sustained action across divisions.
- Define and track outcome measures (e.g., risk posture movement, reduction in exposure, progress, delivery throughput, stakeholder value) and drive continuous improvement in the product operating rhythm.
- Enabling and inspiring a multi-disciplinary and technically focused Squad to pursue the delivery of work.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
