About the Role

As the People & Culture Manager in the Risk Function you will design and execute on key People & Culture priorities aligned to Risk’s Workforce Strategy and Plan. You will develop and implement recommendations for how Risk seeks to ensure it has the right shape and size of the workforce it needs in the future. You will be tasked with detailed planning for existing high level workforce recommendations and ongoing workforce strategies.

What will your day look like?


As a People & Culture Manager,  you will:

  • Design and develop People & Culture priorites aligned to Risk’s Strategic Workforce Plan with key stakeholders for Group Risk that are in line with an enterprise methodology and standards.
  • Efficient and effective execution of plans across Group Risk in conjunction with key stakeholders e.g., recruitment and strategic sourcing plans, Employee Value Proposition development, learning interventions in conjunction with Capability roles, etc.
  • Lead discussions with senior Risk leaders to identify how their business strategies will impact Risk’s workforce so that planning can be created to support effective execution of the Risk Strategy.
  • Design and develop data analysis that produce insights about current and future workforce capability.
  • Manage the process of refreshing strategic workforce planning for Risk as required.
  • Undertake external research on best practice strategic workforce planning for Risk as well as external drivers influencing global labour markets, to inform ANZ’s workforce strategies.
  • Engage and partner with the Risk Capability Lead and senior business leaders to help them makes choices about priority capabilities and roles and the actions needed to optimise their workforce.

  • You are sought out for your expertise and you are ‘go to’ for trouble shooting and providing advice on strategic workforce planning and workforce strategy development
  • Have high levels of empathy and are able to rapidly understand stakeholder needs
  • A pragmatic systems thinker that move easily between depth and breadth
  • Experience undertaking statistical analysis that creates relevant insights impacting business decisions to deliver actionable insights
  • Analytical and inquisitive mindset to continuously improve the way Risk function leverages it tools and techniques relating to Strategic Workforce Planning
  • Strong strategic and commercial thinking
  • Ability to collaborate and influence with different/multiple stakeholders
  • Strong conceptual reasoning
