About the Role

 

As a Payments Specialist, you will be accountable for direct sales of new-to-bank and existing Business & Private Banking customers. You will be accountable for achieving targets of revenue, profitability and effective oversight of delivery, designing customer pitch solutions, completing customer needs analysis to determine appropriate pricing to win and retain clients while protecting bank profitability.
You will also be responsible for developing and fostering strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders in Business & Private Banking, providing guidance on the Transaction Banking product suite and procedures ensuring a professional, high quality service to ANZ's internal and external customers, delivering a superior customer experience while ensuring opportunities for revenue growth are maximized, marketing and design capability, customer process mapping, project management, analytical and process improvement capability.

Role Type: 2x vacancies - permanent and 11 months fixed term 
Role Location: Melbourne VIC
Work Hours: Full time role (40 hours per week)

What will your day look like?

 

As a Payments Specialist, you will:

  • Helping to drive profitable, sustainable growth of the Transaction Banking products within the Business & Private Banking segment
  • Deliver revenue realisations from deals won through product penetration outcomes through:
    • Tailored solution design addressing client needs
    • Developing industry pricing approaches
    • Develop industry strategies and targeting collateral
  • Undertake all sales related enquiries for customers, focussed on being proactive in managing their issues and taking complete ownership of the referral through to completion
  • Provides a high level of responsiveness to customer requests by satisfying enquiries accurately the first time around. Identify and effectively communicate opportunities to enhance customer efficiency
  • Increase quality of customer engagement and Transaction Banking brand in market
  • Provide the team with the necessary tools to strengthen and deepen value of customer relationships by educating customers with key insights on how they can use supplier finance, accelerate receivables or managing inventories better
  • Design and implement digital customer collateral
  • Protect the Bank by adhering to the highest risk management standards, including all personal role and organisational compliance obligations met and maintained e.g. Products and Regulatory Compliance, Transaction Banking operating principles and annual leave
  • Manage your business and customer by adhering to the required sales disciplines and management/ application of all tools and resources
  • Design, customise and refine internal processes to maximise results
  • Support Business & Private Banking segment to increase share of market and share of wallet
  • Raise Transaction Banking brand and profile through collaboration and customer engagement. Active engagement with stakeholders (Business & Private Banking frontline staff) and enablers (Product, Client Delivery & Operations)
  • Be accountable for development of staff - formulate and agree plan and tracked regularly. Continually develop own capabilities in line with business requirements
  • Active participant who contributes and encourages a high performing team environment. Foster collaboration and accountability to share best practice within team
  • Compliance to ANZ and branch policies and procedures
  • Alignment and adherence with ANZ policies, processes and standards and with external regulatory requirements
  • Identify risk and security issues within processes and determine remediation plans
