About the Role
The Operational Excellence Manager exists to ensure the Office of the CIO operates with strong discipline, consistency and reliability across governance, decision making forums and priority execution.
As an Operational Excellence Manager in the Office of the CIO, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining the operational rhythms, governance processes and coordination mechanisms that enable the CIO and Leadership Team to focus on outcomes, manage risk, and deliver commitments to the CEO, ExCo and Board.

What will your day look like?
- Establishing and running the core operating rhythm of the Office of the CIO, including leadership forum cadences, forward agendas, decision tracking and follow through.
- Owning the end to end coordination and governance of CIO ExCo, CEO and Board papers, including timelines, quality control and readiness assurance.
- Maintaining an integrated view of CIO priorities, commitments and dependencies, ensuring risks, delays and issues are identified early and actively managed.
- Enforcing consistent standards for executive materials, governance processes and forum preparation across the CIO portfolio.
- Acting as a central coordination point between the CIO, Leadership Team and key enterprise forums to ensure clarity of ownership, accountability and outcomes.
- Driving continuous improvement in operational processes, ways of working and governance practices within the Office of the CIO.
What will you bring?
- Demonstrated experience operating in or alongside senior executive offices, with exposure to Executive Leadership Team, or Executive Committee level governance. (Board level desirable).
- Strong operational, coordination and planning capability, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines and stakeholders concurrently.
- Proven ability to establish and enforce operational discipline, standards and governance in complex, matrixed environments.
- High quality written and verbal communication skills, including confidence working with senior leaders.
- Strong judgement, resilience and the ability to proactively manage issues, risks and competing priorities.
