About the Role
As a NFR Governance Manager in our Enterprise Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Governance function, you’ll play a key role in helping to ensure ANZ meets the NFR governance and oversight requirements and manage NFR within risk appetite. The role fosters strong and effective working relationships across Group Risk, Line 1 Divisional/Functional teams and Line 2 Risk teams to provide NFR subject matter expertise and data informed insights to support and enhance NFR governance throughout the Enterprise.

What will your day look like?
As a NFR Governance Manager, you will be:
- Supporting effective governance and oversight of Enterprise-wide NFR management to the Group General Manager – Operational Risk (GGM Op Risk), Operational Risk Executive Committee (OREC) and Board Risk Committee (BRC), including providing value-add insights and opinions on how well ANZ is effectively managing Non-Financial Risk within risk appetite, and areas that require uplift.
- Developing data informed insights to highlight emerging NFR issues and trends to drive continuous improvement in NFR governance (including standards, processes, guidance, tooling, awareness & understanding).
- Supporting NFR Risk Appetite Statement (NFR RAS) reporting, including engagement with data providers and reporting to risk committees.
- Preparing high-quality papers for senior leaders, committees (including OREC and BRC) and other reporting as required.
- Partnering with the NFR Framework, System, Insights and Dashboard teams to implement change to standardise and enhance Enterprise-wide NFR reporting across Board, Executive and Divisional/Functional levels, focusing on insights and highlighting issues.
- Coordinating ANZ Enterprise NFR Material Risk Owner attestations for annual APRA CPS 220 Risk Management Declarations.
- Engaging with the Line 1 Divisional/Functional teams and Line 2 Risk teams on NFR governance matters.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Relevant experience in the banking and financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of ANZ’s NFR framework and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in arranging, analysing and interpreting data.
- Influencing and negotiation skills backed up by strong communication ability, written and verbal (including packs).
- Confidence in dealing with ANZ stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Curiosity and an adaptive and growth mindset.
