About the Role
ANZ established ANZ Worldline (ANZWL/joint venture) with specialist global payments services provider, Worldline, to materially enhance the Merchant customer proposition and market competitiveness.
The Merchant Partnerships Senior Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the success ANZWL. The role is the key relationship owner between ANZ and ANZWL with the purpose to work with stakeholders from both organisations to drive effectiveness and operational excellence. This includes oversight of the effective delivery of ANZ Worldline’s commitments to ANZ, together with engagement between Institutional and Commercial business segments to ensure alignment and the success of customers with shared interest.

What will your day look like?
The Merchant Partnership Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of the ANZ Worldline joint venture and holds the following key responsibilities:

Act as the relationship owner and main interface between ANZ and ANZ Worldline for various initiatives, both tactical and strategic

Work closely with Commercial and Institutional executives and teams in frontline distribution to help drive sales referrals and work with ANZ Worldline on solutions to improve customer and banker experiences

Work with ANZ and ANZ Worldline stakeholders to establish and maintain the operating model (policies, processes, service standards, performance dashboards, measures of success etc.) that relate to the design, management and delivery of merchant acquiring solutions

The current focus on migrating Institutional customers to the ANZ Worldline platform requires this role to work specifically with stakeholders and ANZ Worldline to proactively ensure a smooth and positive migration experience

Monitor and report on the progress and success of the partnership that relate to the referrals, sales and retention of merchant customers with ANZ, including oversight of the daily operational items such as customer escalations, platform outages, etc.

Establish, track and review standards of practice identified in all activities managed by the JV ensuring the standards of practice meet ANZ’s requirements.

An understanding of the merchant acquiring and payments businesses, as well as ANZ’s Institutional business is desirable
