About the Role
As the Manager Retail Decision Systems (Risk Infrastructure), you will be responsible for delivery in one or more of the following domains: solution design & configuration, business architecture, controls design, and/or business analysis of decision solutions. Additionally, you be responsible to deliver and sustain Retail and Commercial Risk IT services aligned to Originations Decisioning, Portfolio Management, Collections Decisioning, Data Provisioning, Architecture & Design, Systems Controls services; including but not limited to Operating Model enforcement/improvement, end-to-end Release Train co-ordination, Bureau data investigations and corrections, Co-ordination of all regular business attestations, Annual reviews, Remediation of audit items, 1st line assurance and fulfilling ad-hoc requests from senior management.

What will your day look like?
As the Manager Retail Decision Systems (Risk Infrastructure), you will be accountable for:

Displaying Thought Leadership with respect to the design and/or development of Retail Risk policy and strategies that are geared towards supporting revenue uplift, improvement in operational effectiveness and cost out for the bank, as well as supporting the strategic direction, design, and effective use of risk infrastructure across the customer life cycle.

Support the Group’s Strategic customer objectives by maintaining stability of Australia Risk Infrastructure platforms and services

Deliver more simplified, scaled, progressive data and technology infrastructure to help improve the financial wellbeing of our customers (including Responsible Lending and Privacy standards).

Enable the efficient production of quality requirements, and manage demand in a way that balances business need with the Technology strategy; industrialised while adhering to the ANZ Delivery Framework.

RCRIT representation in Data Architecture forums and formulation of a roadmap from current to target state Risk Infrastructure.

Supporting Stream Leads with the development of team members and uplift capability across team to enable delivery of current and future elements of long-term strategy. Includes the provision of technical advice, technical training and mentoring to team members.

Contribute to Non-Financial Risk framework. Know your risks, know your controls, manage your COR events (ensuring information in COR is accurate, up-to-date, easy to understand, and action oriented). Support Audits and deliver on all audit-related commitments.

Identify trends, risks, issues, and opportunities; resolve them and/or report escalate to senior management as required.

Performing pro-active and re-active (ie. Due to customer request or complaint) Bureau data investigations and corrections (where system error or operational delays impact ANZ reporting of Customer and Account data to Bureau).
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Strong analytical, numerical, research and problem-solving proven ability to delivery Business and Technology solutions.

Proven technical capabilities in credit risk decision systems (PowerCurve).
-
Proven technical capabilities and experience with data analytics/science techniques and tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, Ab Initio, etc.).

Experience in risk management and/or technology, with exposure to credit and/or data lifecycle.

Skilled at the use of facts in discussions and communication with staff and peers.
-
Proven ability to communicate up (one level above) and amongst peer groups.
-
Well-developed written and oral skills with ~50% of role behavioural, stakeholder engagement evident, 50% of the role technical (having already exhibited experience in previous technical roles via individual’s career path).

Hands-on ability to navigate through various ETL, Data Archival Platform (Hadoop or any cloud platform) & Data visualisation layers. A strong contributor to Data Architecture discussions.

Proven ability to be able to make Business rule and strategy changes.

Business analysis experience and/or related technical experience with a strong understanding of strategy configurations and the role it plays in Credit Risk management.

Experience in the creation and monitoring of end-to-end change management controls (aligned to associated regulatory obligations) to ensure quality delivery of all system changes across Acquisition Risk, Portfolio Risk and Collections Risk (in conjunction with Modelling and Governance/Regulatory Response teams on a needs-basis).; while minimising hand-offs, and uplifting self-service capability within Retail Risk.
