This role supports the Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager with accountability for the global oversight of ANZ’s management of the following Regulatory risks: Regulatory and Prudential Compliance, Licencing, Financial Markets & OTC Regs, EESG, Company Operations and Banking Operations.

What will your day look like?
The role is accountable for:
- Undertaking activities relating to the oversight of compliance with the above Level 2 regulatory and prudential risks within risk appetite,
- Lead the oversight of the frameworks, policies, and associated control objectives and obligations relating to assigned risks and consistent with the components of the I.AM Framework including identification of opportunities for simplification and automation.
- Undertaking insightful analysis and reporting on the management of assigned Level 2 risks.
- Working with internal stakeholders to support their understanding of the Level 2 risks.
This team maintains strong relationship with Senior Managers and Executives across all areas of the bank.
What will you bring?
- Tertiary qualified with 8+ years experience in Compliance / Risk Management, or relevant experience in financial services
- An understanding of the regulator and prudential framework for Authorised Deposit Taking Institutions
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence/negotiate outcomes
- Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation
- Ability to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional/risk based manner
- Ability to understand regulatory issues and translate into actions or provide advice to facilitate compliant outcomes
