About the Role
The Manager - Organisation Design & Implementation leads the day-to-day delivery and execution of large, complex people and workforce transformation initiatives, ensuring clear business outcomes are achieved. These initiatives may include the development of new operating models, organisation design and restructures, location or offshoring strategies, M&A people streams, data-led workforce analysis or broader transformation programs.
The role acts as a critical integrator across business stakeholders, T&C partners, project teams and cross-functional contributors to drive progress, manage complexity and deliver outcomes at pace. This includes leading project teams, managing risks and interdependencies, removing roadblocks, supporting governance and providing subject matter expertise across core OD&I delivery areas.
The role may lead a standalone program or manage a major stream within a broader enterprise transformation initiative, balancing strategic outcomes, stakeholder needs, total investment, delivery risk and time to benefit. The role will also provide strategic advice and challenge to business leaders on organisational effectiveness, operating model design, workforce impacts and implementation considerations.
This role will also have accountability for performing administrative people management responsibilities and supporting the professional development of OD&I Consultants who report into the role.

What will your day look like?
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of Organisation Design & Implementation initiatives across operating model, organisation design, data management, workforce transformation, restructuring and implementation.
- Providing strategic advice, challenge and subject matter expertise to senior business leaders, T&C Business Partners and project stakeholders.
- Conducting organisational diagnostics and analysis to identify opportunities, risks and recommendations relating to operating model effectiveness, workforce structure, spans and layers, capability, governance and role design.
- Developing evidence-based recommendations and implementation approaches that balance business outcomes, customer impacts, workforce experience, financial objectives and enterprise design principles.
- Leading project teams and cross-functional contributors to deliver agreed outcomes, ensuring work is planned, sequenced and delivered at pace.
- Acting as the integrator across stakeholders, workstreams and delivery teams to manage interdependencies and reduce execution risk.
- Driving decision-making by bringing structure, insight and recommendations to enable timely resolution of issues, risks and roadblocks.
- Supporting governance activities, including critical path analysis, risk and issue management, dependency management, stakeholder management, reporting, and supporting budget, resource and scope management.
- Identifying resourcing needs and recommending adjustments to ensure projects or programs are set up for successful delivery.
- Monitoring key metrics and measures of success, including progress against outcomes, delivery milestones, financial impacts and benefits realisation.
- Translating organisation design recommendations into practical implementation plans, ensuring changes are successfully embedded and benefits are realised.
- Supporting leaders and stakeholders through the people impacts of transformation, ensuring implementation activities are thoughtful, compliant and people-centred.
- Building trusted relationships with business leaders, T&C BPs, T&C teams, cross-functional partners and other key stakeholders to resolve issues and remove barriers to success.
What will you bring?
- Depth and breadth of experience in at least one of the OD&I core capabilities: organisation design, operating model design, restructuring, M&A people streams, workforce transformation, location strategy or data management.
- Proven experience leading complex people, workforce or business transformation initiatives from mobilisation through to implementation.
- Strong understanding of organisation design principles, operating model design, workforce analysis, role design, governance and implementation planning.
- Ability to engage, influence and challenge senior stakeholders, including business leaders, T&C Business Partners and cross-functional delivery partners.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or project teams to execute complex business change and deliver agreed outcomes.
- Strong project and program management experience, including governance, critical path analysis, dependency management, issue and risk management, stakeholder management, and support for budget, resource and scope management.
- Ability to quickly understand complex business problems, diagnose root causes and develop practical, evidence-based solutions.
- Strong consulting, problem-solving and facilitation skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and bring stakeholders together around clear recommendations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear papers, updates, recommendations and executive-level messaging.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Experience in supporting the professional development and capability uplift of teams.
