About the Role
Working within the Retail Credit Risk team, the key purpose of the role is to
- Ensure that ANZ meets customer and regulator expectations by ensuring that credit reporting is accurate, up to date, complete and relevant
- Govern the end-to-end credit reporting processes through effective oversight and reporting against obligations.

What will your day look like?
- Conducting ongoing tracking, monitoring, and analysis of bureau record rejections, with focus on identifying and investigating new rejection types and reasons.
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement activities such as monthly meetings with the Credit Bureaux, internal forums (e.g. Risk Management Forums) and external forums (e.g. Arca/RDEA).
- Supporting project delivery, including Suncorp integration by ensuring credit reporting requirements are met. (via data analysis, testing, BVT etc.)
- Raising and managing non-financial risk events in line with the established framework, working closely with Compliance, Technology, and Legal teams
- Producing, maintaining and managing outputs of control reporting, to ensure that ANZ is meeting regulatory obligations with respect to Credit Reporting.
- Acting as a second line function for Credit Reporting Corrections, ensuring key obligations are effectively monitored and adhered to.
- Using data to create insights and identify trends, risks, issues and opportunities; resolving them and/or reporting or escalating to senior management as required.
- Building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable objectives to be achieved and learnings shared.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate to senior leaders and external stakeholders, such as regulators.
- Excellence in presenting highly complex problems and processes in simple terms that are easily consumed by a broad range of stakeholders, adjusting the level of messaging to suit the audience.
- Very strong facilitation skills and ability to influence a broad range of stakeholder groups with conflicting priorities
- Strong analytical, numerical, research and problem-solving proven ability to turn data into information and information into actionable business decision strategy.
- Proven technical capabilities and experience with data analytics/science and/or decision systems techniques and tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, PowerCurve, AbInitio, etc.).
