About the role

 

As Manager, Stress Testing and Forecasting, you will support the delivery of key credit stress testing and forecasting outcomes while contributing to the transformation of ANZ’s stress testing capability, with a focus on Wholesale portfolios (Institutional and Business & Private Bank).

 

This role sits within the Stress Testing & Forecasting team under Group Risk Metrics & Measurement (RMM) and supports both ongoing stress testing and forecasting deliverables as well as the implementation of a new stress testing system. The role provides opportunities to work closely with a broad range of stakeholders across the bank, including teams in credit risk, finance and treasury.

What could your day look like?

As Manager, Stress Testing and Forecasting, you will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Support the delivery of BAU stress testing and forecasting key deliverables for Wholesale portfolios, including Group ICAAP and Industry-Wide Stress Tests
  • Execute and run credit stress tests under various scenarios, producing high quality analysis and insights for management decision making
  • Support the implementation of a new stress testing system as part of the Group RMM transformation program
  • Translate credit risk concepts and stress testing methodologies into system, process and reporting requirements
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, issue investigation and resolutio
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Technology and external vendors to support transformation delivery.

 

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Extensive experience in credit risk, risk analytics, or modelling within banking or financial services
  • Solid understanding of core credit risk concepts (IFRS 9 ECL and RWA), with experiences in stress testing or scenario analysis
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex results and explain findings and outcomes clearly
  • Experience using data and analytical tools (e.g. SQL, SAS, R, Python, Excel)
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment with evolving requirements and timelines
  • A growth mindset with the willingness to develop deeper expertise in stress testing and forecasting
  • Tertiary qualification in an analytics-based discipline (e.g. statistics, actuarial science, mathematics, finance, quantitative finance, engineering).
