Our Financial Wellbeing and Design (FWD) team will accelerate ANZ’s purpose of shaping a world where people and communities thrive and our ability to improve financial wellbeing through three distinct components:

 

  • Financial Wellbeing: Delivering better customer and commercial outcomes by supporting the delivery of purpose driven products, services, and experiences.

  • Research: Improving our understanding of financial health, human financial decision making and promising global innovations.

  • Design: Applying world class human centred design principles and capabilities to deliver customer centric propositions, services, and experiences.

 
This role will be accountable for providing strategic research and insight to support the development and validation of strategic propositions and other strategic initiatives for ANZ's retail portfolio (ANZ and ANZ Plus). The role supports the Chapter lead, working with teams to ensure a robust evidence base is established for these initiatives and help interpret the evidence to build confidence in their decisions.

Role type: 12 month opportunity,  full time

What your day may look like

  • Providing project management & research support to the Chapter Lead on the development and validation of strategic propositions and other strategic research eg:

    • Asking questions to identify the underlying business problem

    • Conforming to agreed methodologies and evidence-based standards

    • Developing the most appropriate research design and associated artefacts (i.e., discussion guide, stimulus, questionnaire)

    • Engaging stakeholders and agency partners

    • Managing (and in some cases conducting) the fieldwork and execution process

    • Building the framework for analysis and reporting

    • Communicating the key insights and the so what / now what implications for influence

    • Managing the invoice and budget

    • Supporting the Chapter Lead in analysis and synthesis of learnings from multiple data sources and communication of the insights effectively to relevant cross functional stakeholders in an impactful and engaging way.

    • Working with the Operations team to ensure the smooth functioning of research services and compliance with various operation risk and procurement policies

    • Collaborating with peers and internal stakeholders including behavioural science and financial wellbeing experts to shape propositions to deliver tangible improvements in financial wellbeing.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful, you will have:

  • Experience working on market research projects including strategic proposition development

  • Knowledge of research design, qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and desk research

  • Experience managing research agencies

  • Experience managing research processes and outputs

  • Business communication & collaboration skills

  • Good numeracy and literacy

  • Sound proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and ability to use research tools for data analysis such as Q, SPSS and Kapiche

  • Understanding of behavioural change frameworks

  • Financial wellbeing knowledge as it pertains to customers

  • Experience working with diverse set of stakeholders such design, tech, legal and data science

  • Degree qualifications

  • Demonstrated preference for learning irrespective of the educational format
