About the Role

 

As Manager, Financial Crime and Fraud Centre of Excellence, you will support Group Operations (GO) with SME knowledge relating to economic crime elements within the customer value chain. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Crime & Fraud, you will drive excellence by supporting the uplift and maintenance of operational risk management capabilities, compliance with enterprise risk standards, and monitoring and reporting on operational risk themes and controls.

 

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, understands the economic crime external environment and wants to make a tangible difference in embedding proactive financial crime and fraud risk management fundamentals.

What could your day look like?

 

  • Uplift and maintain the management of economic crime activities across GO, ensuring risks and regulatory obligations are met and a robust control environment is in place
  • Partner with peers in customer-owning divisions across the bank to ensure alignment of economic crime risk management capability
  • Coordinating responses to thematic reviews, deep dives, and audit findings
  • Supporting risk profile reviews, control environment assessments, and risk treatment plans
  • Managing risk data completeness and quality and preparing input into risk reporting
  • Providing advisory support on change risk impacts and risk assessments
  • Working with the business to uplift risk awareness and capabilities
  • Developing remediation plans with risk owners and supporting risk culture initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders ensuring timely escalation of issues and smooth delivery of resolution.

What will you bring?

 

Must have:

 

  • Strong understanding of Regulatory obligations across economic crime
  • Strong economic crime SME and using it to support the translation of obligations into a practical operational business context, whilst ensuring risks are understood and controls embedded
  • Experience managing governance activities for official committees/forums
  • Analytical skills and familiarity with risk tools and reporting
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

 

Good to have:

 

  • Familiarity with non-financial risk taxonomy and operational risk frameworks
  • Exposure to control assurance and risk testing activities
  • Data-led decision-making principles.
