About the Role

 

We’re seeking an experienced Digital Analytics Lead to define and lead ANZ’s digital fraud and scam analytics strategy across customer and payment channels.

 

This is a key leadership role within Customer Protection Strategy & Performance, responsible for driving the strategic direction of fraud detection and prevention across Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, payments and other digital channels. You will leverage data, analytics and intelligence to identify emerging threats and translate them into scalable controls that balance fraud risk, customer experience and operational efficiency.

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time 

 

What will your day look like?

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Set the strategic direction for digital fraud and scam analytics across customer and payment channels
  • Own end-to-end fraud performance, including fraud losses, detection effectiveness, false positives and customer outcomes
  • Prioritise competing initiatives across fraud analytics and control delivery in a fast-paced environment
  • Translate emerging threats and insights into scalable detection and prevention strategies
  • Lead and develop a high-performing analytics team, driving focus on high-impact outcomes
  • Provide clear and actionable reporting and insights to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure effective delivery and embedding of fraud controls aligned to strategic priorities
  • Influence senior stakeholders across Fraud, Digital, Risk and Technology to align on strategy and investment decisions
  • Represent ANZ in industry forums and support collaboration on digital fraud and scam prevention

 

What will you bring?

 

To grow and succeed in this role, you will bring:

 

  • Strong experience in fraud analytics within digital banking or payments environments
  • Deep understanding of digital fraud and scam typologies across online banking and payment channels
  • Proven experience setting strategy for fraud detection, analytics or controls
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability across senior audiences
  • Experience working with large datasets and analytical tools such as SAS, SQL or similar
  • Strong ability to translate data insights into clear, actionable strategies
  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing analysts or small teams
  • Experience with behavioural biometrics tools
  • Experience with fraud decisioning platforms (e.g. FICO Falcon)
