About the Role

 

As the Lead Digital Product Owner your mission is to help design, build and ensure the smooth and well managed operation of our Onboarding & Welcome episode, for Commercial customers joining ANZ Plus.  You will work with a team of Product Owners to develop strategies, roadmaps and goals to ensure squads are working on the highest value items to positively impact key metrics on customer experience, cost and risk.

Your work will require you to develop and communicate a clear strategy and outcomes to enable Product Owners and agile teams to work autonomously and self-govern delivery.

 

You’ll employ your broad knowledge of modern digital banking to help reshape how customers get started, setup and made to feel welcome, safe, secure and informed.  A key foundational episode relied upon by all of ANZ Plus.

 

There is an expectation that you will have a strong understanding of the current digital banking landscape, with strong experience in digital delivery while demonstrating a creative, customer focused mindset to the role.

What could your day look like?

 

  • Work with Customer & Identity Services, ANZ Plus, Commercial Leadership and key stakeholders across the organisation to understand the broader how to win strategy
  • Work with Start/Run My Business Value Stream Lead to understand the types of Commercial customers we are targeting
  • Help shape the business response, defining innovative & sustainable designs that enable incremental and continuous delivery of business value through Epics to Features
  • Support Product Owners and multiple agile squads deliver end-to-end features
  • Actively monitor and manage the smooth operation of your business area by assessing your key operational metrics
  • Working with your episode, other episode teams and business services to define and deliver radically improved experiences for our customers
  • Research and test hypothesis for improved experiences with our customers, both current and new
  • Work closely with key stakeholders from product, security and fraud to ensure our customers are able to safely interact with our digital channels
  • Optimise experiences through the introduction of industry best standards and technologies.

What will you bring?

 

  • Passionate about radically improving the digital banking customer experience – with a genuine understanding of the importance it plays within their overall customer experience
  • Previous delivery of the end-to-end, digital on-boarding experience in financial services or similar industry (ideally, with a commercial focus)
  • Experience in running multiple, high performing, agile squads
  • Strong communicator who can influence senior stakeholders and rally delivery teams towards a common outcome
  • A problem solver with domain expertise who can translate business needs into commercially viable solution designs that can be implemented by the delivery teams
  • Big picture thinker and a willingness to accept and adapt ideas from various sources to ensure a holistic approach
  • Never satisfied with “good enough” – you’re always wanting to push ideas and encourage your peers to do the same
  • A continuous and pragmatic problem solver who enjoys creating order from chaos
  • Knowledge and practical hands-on experience working with modern, digital onboarding technologies.
