About the role

The Journey Expert is critical to making this happen and will explore potential compliance events and assess their impact to the home loans business. Once assessed, events will require analysis and insights to develop a solution to rectify the issue and deploy a solution into the home loan business.

Role Accountabilities

This role is accountable for:

  • Collaboration with squad members to resolve operational issues related to the Home Loan product and rectify potential issues identified.
  • Drafting up solutions and documentation for stakeholders outlining recommendations for adoption.
  • Take a lead role in coordinating change and delivery activities related to operational enhancements being deployed
  • Identification, management and reporting of compliance and operational risks related to the home loan product.
  • Work closely with SMEs across the business to get endorsement of solutions and support of the change and implementation process.
  • A healthy dose of inquisitiveness and open to learning and sharing new ways to improve existing processes.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Business analysis skills, including analysis and elicitation techniques and the ability to define requirements in complex and challenging business environments. 
  • Willingness to take on new tasks and work with your leaders to juggle competing priorities where required.
  • Work with the squad and the broader stakeholders to determine the impact and support needed to ensure change is embedded into affected business areas.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with strong influencing and relationship building ability.
  • Comprehensive understanding of a range of problem-solving techniques.
  • Systems and technology exposure and understanding.
  • Proactively identifying and assessing risks and complying with risk management processes and policies.
  • Ability to analyse and review data to deduce hypotheses for further investigation.
  • A “can do” attitude and a desire to explore customer needs in a data-driven way, develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • A strong understanding in the lifecycle of a home loan, ideally with experience in ANZ systems and processes (but not a necessity)
  • A strong execution mindset and ability to deliver quality outputs within required timeframes.
