About the Role
The Journey Expert will work closely with all ANZ divisions on defining and delivering data requirements and changes to reporting processes. In this role, you will be working closely with finance, risk and technology teams to determine requirements and designing solutions satisfying program requirements.
This role will require you to define requirements, evaluate the viability of reporting solutions and manage testing across the regulatory reporting and finance domains. The role will also require you to define data definitions, data sourcing requirements and writing business rules for the reporting solutions.

What will your day look like?
As a Journey Expert Regulatory Reporting, you are accountable for:
- Documenting requirements for various APRA Regulatory initiatives including internal changes within ANZ and understanding their impact on regulatory reporting users.
- Data analysis and tailoring solutions as per key business requirements
- Effective Stakeholder engagement across risk/finance and technology teams to deliver outcomes stated in requirements
- UAT testing and producing comparable analysis for business signoffs
- Drive efficiency initiatives through continuous improvements of existing processes
- Showcasing commercial acumen and an ability to ‘see the bigger picture’
- Working in a dynamic, diverse environment and adapting to change.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Depth of experience to lead more complex work requirements within the Program
- Strong relevant experience preferredPrior finance change experience in financial, regulatory, or risk domains
- Thorough knowledge of financial statement concepts
- Experience with APRA’s regulatory standards is desirable but it is more important that you have the capability and interest to understand APRA standards and how they apply to the ANZ environment.
- Highly effective verbal and written communications with ability to influence others
- Adaptable and able to operate effectively in a changing environment and take on new initiatives
- High level of both internal and external stakeholder engagement
- Effective data querying skills and proficiency in SQL, Confluence, JIRA and agile methodologies
- Strong knowledge of source systems preferred
