About the Role
This role sits within the Fraud Protection Fraud Analytics team and works with stakeholders across the business to help protect ANZ customers from fraud and scams using cybercrime disruption techniques.
The Intelligence & Disruption Analyst supports the identification, analysis and disruption of cyber-enabled fraud and scam threats affecting customers. The role contributes to the investigation of phishing, malware and compromised credential events, helping identify root causes, emerging attack patterns and opportunities to strengthen customer protections.
The role also supports the management and optimisation of Intelligence & Disruption capabilities, including behavioural biometric and fraud detection platforms, and contributes to knowledge sharing activities across Customer Protection and the wider ANZ business.

What will your day look like?
- Supporting the analysis of cybercrime events, including phishing, malware and compromised credential activity targeting customers.
- Assisting with the automation and optimisation of Intelligence & Disruption analysis processes.
- Supporting investigations using behavioural biometric and fraud detection platforms.
- Gathering, analysing and reporting intelligence and emerging fraud and scam threats.
- Developing and maintaining data queries, scripts and analytical processes to support fraud detection and investigations.
- Performing data analysis to identify trends, attack vectors and control improvement opportunities.
- Supporting relationships with Intelligence & Disruption technology vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Contributing to knowledge sharing and awareness activities across Fraud Prevention teams.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A solid understanding of how digital fraud, scams, phishing attacks and malware campaigns operate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes.
- Foundational SQL skills, including the ability to extract, manipulate and analyse data.
- Foundational Python skills, including the ability to develop simple scripts and automate repetitive analytical tasks.
- Strong computing and technical aptitude, with the ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
- Knowledge of information technology, digital channels and cybersecurity concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Curiosity, attention to detail and a willingness to continuously develop CyberCrime and fraud expertise.
