About Us

At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

About the Role

The Initiative Lead serves as the Executive Product Owner of the Lending Securities Management (LSM) platform across the enterprise.

You will balance business priorities, regulatory obligations, and technology capabilities to deliver a secure, compliant, and customer-centric service. You will define the product vision, ensure strategic alignment, and oversee the service lifecycle—from design and build through to BAU support—while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

A key member of the Lending Transformation Leadership Team, you will foster strong stakeholder relationships with Senior Stakeholders across Business and Private Bank, and the ANZ enterprise, including our Retail, Institutional and New Zealand franchises.

A natural collaborator, adept at bringing Teams together with a common purpose, you will develop a Team of talented individuals to ensure the ongoing successful delivery of the LSM platform and, where applicable, the supporting ecosystem.

Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.

Role Type: Permanent role

Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008

As the Initiative Lead, you will be accountable for:

  • Product & Platform Strategy: Defining vision, objectives, and success metrics aligned with enterprise strategy; simplifying customer and banker experience
  • Service Lifecycle Management: Overseeing end-to-end delivery, roadmap, enhancements, and operational stability; ensuring resilience, compliance, and scalability
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement: Acting as liaison for executives and tech teams; managing vendor performance and partnerships to enhance platform integration and efficiency

As the platform matures, the focus of delivery may shift to other strategic priorities/ programs in the Lending Transformation division or across the broader Business and Private Bank portfolio in line with the above accountabilities.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Extensive experience leading large, complex programs, ideally in lending, credit risk, and securities management

  • Skilled in engaging regulators, vendors, and senior stakeholders; proven ability to influence and align across diverse groups
  • Recognized as a mentor and coach with a track record of developing leaders and motivating large, diverse teams across jurisdictions
