The role is responsible for establishing and leading FSDI’s UI framework, design and capability and bringing a greater UX Lens to the solutions we deliver. The role will work closely with our Delivery Leads and Developers across FSDI along with our customers. The role will be responsible across Project Scoping, ideation, prototyping, Information Architecture, Design Artifacts and Delivery. You will set up design prototypes and set up UI frameworks along with coaching others in best practice User Interface design across FSDI. The primary focus will be in our Business Intelligence Tribe across our Web and Mobile solutions and where feasible apply these standards across our Business Intelligence tools.

Role Type: 12 months secondment/fixed term

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • 7+ years as an experienced UI/Visual designer. Deep knowledge of digital channels and platforms which maximises overall digital execution, innovation and delivery of user led customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Confidence with a range of design software tools (Figma, Miro, Adobe Suite) whilst being open and adaptive to new trends and technologies. Strong knowledge of Design Systems.
  • Expert knowledge of UI design principles and techniques.
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced, high stress design process.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, storytelling and influencing skills.
  • Confident and empathetic leadership style with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner.
  • Coach and guide teams to apply a design led approach when developing solutions. Help others develop their skills in their growth areas and foster an energetic, vibrant team culture.
  • A growth mindset, resilient nature, and an ability to cope and support others during uncertainty
  • Commercially savvy with strong results focus
  • Understanding of Data Visualisation and ability to tell a story with data.
