As a Network Engineer in our Market Infrastructure team within tech institutional domain. You will join a dynamic technology team with unmatched legacy and IP. What will your day look like?
- To provide 2nd level technical support for Institutional networks and infrastructure
- Analysis, design and provide technical consulting services and solutions to business unit issues, initiative & programs
- Undertake performance checking and routine housekeeping of network infrastructure supporting Institutional services & Infrastructure.
- Maximum availability and usability of the LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Support for Trading Room system and services technology which includes trading room platforms, transactional platforms & vendor provided application and services both server and desktop.
- Support the Institutional platform solutions by maintaining close relationship with key network vendors, benchmarking network performance & adhering to ANZ standard change policies.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Years of experience and/or knowledge of network routing/switching, Firewall, network load balance, IPS, Server OS (Window and Linux), SD-WAN
- Exposure to the following would be advantageous: Palo Alto Firewall, Virtualization Technology (Hyper-V, VMWare), Data Centre Cisco Router/Switches (BGP, EIGRP, VRF, Multicast, VXLAN, Encryption, Technologies), Load balance (Radware/F5), AWS/GCP Cloud
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CompTIA Network+, or equivalent is desirable
- Knowledge and skillset preferred for Market data platform providers (Thomson Reuters & Bloomberg) and Low Ultra Trading Platform
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal successfully with all levels of customers & Staff.
- Ability to work in a team environment & meet objective & goal.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
