The Storage Engineer – Cloud and Data Infrastructure Services is critical in making this happen. The role will deliver Enterprise Storage solutions that provide stable and accessible services to meet our customers’ needs and to support multiple storage infrastructures remotely across ANZ BU’s (except New Zealand).
Role Type: 12 Month Fixed Term
Role Location: Melbourne
Work Hours: Morning Shift/On-Call Support
What will your day look like?
- Being involved in all aspects of managing a large storage environment, including operational support, designing, and implementing new solutions.
- Consulting with other infrastructure and application teams
- Capacity planning and storage performance analysis
- BAU support – Incident, Request and Change Management
What will you bring?
- Demonstrate experience as a Storage Engineer across multiple Storage technologies with sound understanding of storage concepts and proven skills in performance analysis and problem diagnosis
- Multi-skilled and experienced with different storage technologies such as:
- Dell\EMC - Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS), Isilon, Data Domain, VMAX
- NetApp - Cluster Data ONTAP, StorageGrid, FSx Cloud ONTAP, CloudSync
- KEMP Load Balancer
- Must be knowledgeable with Storage Operations and Administration, such as provisioning, configuration, troubleshooting and break-fix activities
- Experience with storage infrastructure tech refresh, upgrades and migrations, disaster recovery, fail-over and failback of storage devices
- Good understanding and experience with the ITIL process for incident, change and problem management
- Good understanding of storage integration with different host platforms including Solaris, AIX, Windows, VMWare .
- Good understanding of networking concepts
- Automation skills is a plus/advantage.
- Strong communication skills
- Willing to work after business hours for on-call support
