About the Role

As the Head of Specialised Credit, Business & Private Bank Risk, you will lead the specialised credit portfolio including the Emerging Corporate, Private Bank, Agribusiness and Commercial Real Estate segments. This executive leadership role combines strategic influence, sound judgement, and strong risk stewardship to support sustainable growth and portfolio performance. You will provide independent oversight of complex credit decisions, drive excellence in credit risk management and governance, and foster a strong risk culture that enables confident decision-making in a dynamic environment.

What will your day look like?

• Leading the Specialised Credit line of business within the Business and Private Bank Risk function, including setting direction for credit risk management, portfolio quality and sustainable growth.
• Provide executive oversight of complex credit decision-making, governance and risk frameworks, ensuring strong risk outcomes and alignment with risk appetite.
• Influence enterprise-wide credit strategy through strong partnerships with senior executives, regulators, and key stakeholders.
• Build a high-performing team and culture that fosters excellence, accountability, and disciplined risk management.

What will you bring?

• Deep expertise in credit risk, portfolio management, and regulatory frameworks, preferably with experience in specialist segments such as Private Bank, Emerging Corporate ,Agribusiness and Commercial Real Estate.
• Strategic risk leadership and governance
• Exceptional leadership, influencing, and executive stakeholder management capability.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem -solving, and decision -making capability.
• Demonstrates an open‑minded and adaptable approach, with the ability to adjust style, thinking and judgement to evolving business needs and credit contexts, and to align with ANZ's 2030 Strategy.
• Proven ability to lead large teams successfully through change while fostering a positive, open mindset and helping teams adapt confidently to evolve business and risk environments.
