About the Role

Support the Head of Finance and Assurance in delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial, tax and APRA reporting for ANZ Staff Super. The role is responsible for coordinating finance activities, managing key service provider relationships, maintaining governance processes, and providing technical expertise across reporting, audit, tax and risk matters.

 

Role Type: 12 Months Fixed Term
Role Location: Melbourne or Brisbane
Work Hours: 40 Hours (Full-time)

What will your day look like?

 

  • Coordinate the preparation and review of financial, tax and APRA reporting to support compliance with legislative, prudential and accounting requirements.
  • Prepare and communicate financial information and reporting outcomes to management, the Trustee Board, Risk, Audit and Compliance Committee, auditors and regulators.
  • Support the management of financial and non-financial risks in line with Trustee policies, controls and risk appetite.
  • Coordinate the annual financial reporting, audit and review processes.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with the Scheme’s accountant, external auditors, tax advisers and internal audit.
  • Manage operational relationships with JP Morgan Fund Accounting and MUFG Financial Reporting teams.
  • Assist with the implementation of new reporting, accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer APRA Connect reporting submissions and related governance processes.
  • Maintain finance policies, procedures, governance documents and reporting controls.
  • Provide technical support and advice on finance, tax, reporting, audit and risk matters.
  • Lead and develop finance team members, promoting collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support strategic initiatives, projects and service provider oversight activities as required.

 

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong experience in financial, tax and regulatory reporting within financial services or superannuation.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, APRA prudential requirements, taxation and superannuation legislation.
  • Experience coordinating audits, annual reporting processes and external service providers.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated people leadership, coaching and team development capability.
  • Sound understanding of governance, risk management and internal controls.
  • Superannuation industry experience.
  • APRA Connect reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of investment accounting, unit pricing and fund administration.
  • Experience working with custodians, fund accountants and outsourced administrators.
  • Familiarity with tax governance and assurance frameworks.
