As a member of Simplification and Equivalency Transformation (SET) within the Customer Migration Portfolio, our mission is to help our customers achieve their goals by providing modern and simplified product solutions as we move towards the future of ANZ Plus, while reducing risk, cost, and complexity in our Classic portfolio.

Simplification is responsible for Divisional Simplification across Australia Retail, including product and service simplification, product decommissioning and paper reduction initiatives. This role will work closely with the Stream Leads, Product Owners and squad members from the Tribe as well as our business partners as we move towards future state.

What will your day look like?
As the Simplification Governance Lead within the Simplfication and Equivalency Transformation Tribe, you will be responsible for enabling delivery and driving effective and efficient governance by:
- Leading the coordination and management of committees and forums so that these are well managed and effective;
- Central coordination and oversight of SET’s information including progress against schedules, budget tracking, risk, issue and dependency management and management reporting
- Working with workstreams leads to establish and run team planning and delivery cadences, and other project management practices, ensuring they are provided with necessary support and information to effectively manage their delivery.
- Providing leadership and guidance to work streams in understanding and maintaining expected standards aligned to ANZs delivery and risk management frameworks
- Working with the key stakeholders, leadership team members and relevant risk lines to ensure the appropriate and timely escalation of issues as required by policy and good management;
- Preparing papers and providing input to various committees and forums as they relate to Simplification and/or Migration initiatives (e.g., IRF, APC, Steering Committee)
- Supporting the Governance and Reporting Lead in the management of Governance and Reporting practices across the portfolio.
- Support document management and knowledge transfer
- Undertake reporting and program administration tasks, as required, to support SET’s governance and delivery
The role would suit an organised, collaborative and experienced project professional with excellent working knowledge of PPM, ADF, project management disciplines and experience of providing governance oversight and management reporting in a demanding environment.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Strong project experience gained across a variety of project types
- Comfortable to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and work hands-on, collaboratively with passion and energy as a key member of a fast-paced agile team
- Significant capability in senior stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of PMO management, finance processes, risk and project management standards, particularly PPM or similar systems
- Strong verbal, written and numeracy communication skills
- Experience in drafting reports and formal papers for senior audiences
- Ability to prioritise among competing demands
- Strong banking product knowledge (e.g. Retail and Commercial Transat and Save products, credit cards etc.)
