About the Role

 

Lending Securities as a Service (LSaaS) is a business service for Collateral Management across ANZ. Reporting to the LSaaS Initiative Lead, we are seeking a Governance Lead to provide strategic leadership and oversight for governance of the LSaaS enterprise service. 

 

This role is accountable for establishing and embedding a robust governance framework that ensures compliance, manages risk, and enables transparent, effective decision-making across the entire service lifecycle. By setting governance standards and ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and regulatory obligations, the Governance Lead plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and resilience of the LSaaS platform.

What will your day look like?

 

As a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, the LSaaS Governance Lead influences strategic priorities, facilitates executive governance forums, and ensures decisions are well-informed and traceable. The role drives continuous improvement in governance practices, leveraging data-driven insights and process excellence to enhance efficiency, agility, and compliance and will be responsible for:

 

  • LSaaS Governance Framework Leadership: Define and maintain the LSaaS governance framework, including RACI, escalation paths, and decision-making models. Align governance practices with LSaaS strategy, regulatory obligations, and enterprise risk appetite.
  • Executive Forum Leadership: Oversee LSaaS governance forums (e.g., LDG, LBRC), ensuring agendas drive strategic outcomes.
  • Audit & Regulatory Assurance: Ensure LSaaS governance documentation meets internal and external audit standards, and act as senior liaison with compliance, assurance, and risk teams for LSaaS-related obligations.
  • Policy & Compliance Oversight: Validate LSaaS compliance with governance policies before approvals and sign-offs, and monitor adherence across LSaaS delivery and escalate non-compliance to executive leadership.
  • Decision & Risk Management: Maintain authoritative records of LSaaS decisions, approvals, and escalations for transparency and traceability. Provide governance advice to executives on LSaaS-related risk trade-offs and prioritization.
  • Continuous Governance Improvement: Lead reviews of LSaaS governance processes to enhance efficiency, agility, and compliance.

  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across all organisational levels.
  • Extensive experience engaging senior stakeholders and facilitating executive governance forums.
  • Deep understanding of risk management principles, regulatory obligations, and governance best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex governance information clearly to executive audiences.
