About the Role

Are you passionate about Non-Financial Risk (NFR) management and eager to make a significant impact in this important area in the financial services industry?

As a Senior Analyst, you will ensure the effective execution and continual uplift of ANZ’s non-financial risk frameworks and activities (primarily operational risk and compliance) as well as supporting regulatory engagements relevant to Retail Risk Australia.

What will your day look like?

As a Senior Analyst, you will:

Strategic Focus

•    Drive accountability through insights of emerging risks and innovation of risk practices.
•    Ensure the Operational Risk and Compliance Forum is dynamic, informative and relevant.
•    Prepare thematic analysis and briefing notes relevant to non-financial risk activities.
•    Act as SME and support process improvements.
•    Assist in developing changes to strategy, policy and practices that appropriately reflect developments in the non-financial risk environment.  

Operational Management

•    Maintain ongoing embedment of NFR best practice activities within Retail Risk Australia.
•    Support reporting improvements with stakeholders.
•    Understanding of and oversight of events and issue management practices to drive continuous improvement.
•    Support audits conducted by Line 3 and deliver on all owned audit-related commitments.

Governance and Risk

•    Collaborate with Risk and Assurance partners.
•    Monitor legislative, regulatory and internal business.

What will you bring?

•    Extensive experience in risk, compliance or audit; ideally in the financial services industry.
•    Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal and relationship building skills.
•    Knowledge and application of non-financial risk management policies.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.

•    Exceptional attention to detail, investigative mindset and proactive approach.

•    Collaborative mindset and driven towards efficiency and knowledge sharing within and across teams.

•    Ability to work independently and contribute to executive decision making.
